The Faith-Driven Doula Training is a comprehensive, Christ-centered birth professional program designed to equip you with the knowledge, hands-on skills, and confidence to serve women and families with excellence. Whether you're beginning your journey in birth work or expanding an existing practice, this training provides a strong educational foundation while emphasizing compassionate, evidence-informed, family-centered care.
This is more than simply learning how to support labor. Throughout the program, you'll develop a thorough understanding of pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum recovery, maternal physiology, newborn care, communication, childbirth education, business development, and hands-on maternal alignment techniques through the Functional Physiological Birth System (FPBS).

Our training encourages graduates to serve families with excellence while honoring each client's beliefs, preferences, autonomy, and informed choices. Faith informs our educational philosophy, but compassionate, respectful care remains central to every interaction.
Upon successful completion, graduates earn three professional certifications:
- Faith-Driven Birth Doula
- Faith-Driven Childbirth Educator
- Hands-On Skills Practitioner (HSPro)
Together, these certifications prepare graduates to provide educational, emotional, physical, and practical support throughout the childbearing journey while remaining within the non-clinical scope of practice.
Certification Requirements
Earning your certification through Faith-Driven Birth Academy is designed to ensure that every graduate is fully prepared to serve families with excellence, confidence, and professionalism. Students complete the full 12-week curriculum by watching all recorded course lessons, participating in discussions, workshops, demonstrations, and practical learning experiences, and successfully completing the certification portfolio. This comprehensive process allows graduates to demonstrate both their knowledge and practical application of the material before earning their Faith-Driven Birth Academy certifications, ensuring they are equipped to confidently serve families and build a successful birth work practice.

Hands-On Skills Training
One of the unique aspects of the Faith-Driven Doula Training is the Hands-On Skills Practitioner (HSPro) certification.
Students learn how to assess maternal posture, alignment, pelvic mobility, movement patterns, and functional biomechanics to better support physiological birth.

Our graduates leave prepared to support families in homes, birth centers, hospitals, churches, and communities while pursuing professional opportunities that may include private practice, childbirth education, community birth work, insurance reimbursement pathways where available, and advanced specialty certifications.
Insurance & Reimbursement Opportunities
Our certification is recognized nationwide and may be used by graduates in all 50 states. Faith-Driven Birth Academy equips students with the education and guidance to pursue insurance reimbursement opportunities where available, including obtaining an NPI, understanding Medicaid and private insurance requirements, and navigating the credentialing process. Because reimbursement policies vary by state and payer, eligibility is determined by individual program requirements. Our goal is to prepare every graduate with the professional education and documentation needed to confidently build a successful birth work practice.

The best takeaway from this doula training is that our job is not to be our clients’ advocate. It seems like “advocate” has been the most common description of doula work that I have heard over the years. It’s almost relieving to know that we are not our client’s advocate. We are their lighthouse or beacon. We are there to educate and inform. We can help them think of things that they have never thought of or considered before. At the end of the day, our clients make their own decision. But now they can make an educated decision.
